Regarding the fact that on the morning of August 12, some social networking sites posted information that Hanoi Metro strictly prohibits people from bringing electric vehicles and vehicles with batteries to the station and getting on the train to ensure fire prevention and fighting, which has received the attention of many people.
A representative of the Hanoi Metro leadership said that there are times when employees at stations and on trains ask people not to bring electric vehicles or battery-powered vehicles onto metro trains.
According to the representative of the Hanoi Metro leadership, through on-site inspections of metro lines, there is a situation where people bring electric vehicles onto trains, which poses a potential risk of fire and explosion, so the ban is necessary. However, to ban these vehicle lines, there must be clear regulations from competent authorities. Therefore, Hanoi Metro is preparing a document to report to the Department of Construction, Department of Industry and Trade and Hanoi City Police, proposing to the competent authority that it may ban these types of vehicles.
