At exactly 8:00 a.m. on August 8, 2024, the elevated section from Nhon to S8 Station (Cau Giay) 8.5km long of the No. 3 urban railway line, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section (Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro) officially put into commercial operation to serve passengers.
According to statistics from the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB), as of today (August 8, 2025), more than 77,160 trains have been operated with more than 6.4 million passengers using the service. The on-time rate reached 99.84%.
"These figures are proof of the attraction of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro and the continuous efforts of Hanoi City in providing a safe, accurate, convenient, environmentally friendly means of transportation," MrB shared.
Regarding the progress of the underground section, as of July 24, 2025, the overall construction progress of the CP03 package - Tunnels and underground stations reached 62.74%.
The underground slope has been completed 80.97%, Station S9 - Kim Ma has been completed 50.53%, the Steep well is completed 26.07%, the tunnel has reached 65.10%, stations S10, S11, S12 (including lane change and garage) have been completed 69.23%, 58.16%, 65.53%, respectively.
Mr. MRB said that construction activities are currently taking place at all construction sites.
