On June 20, information from Thai Binh General Hospital, the hospital just received 9 cases for treatment with symptoms such as: abdominal pain around the navel, vomiting, continuous fever, loose stools.
Through information gathering, the patients all ate blood pudding at a restaurant in Tan Thuan commune, Hung Yen province.
Immediately after receiving them, doctors examined them, performed abdominal ultrasound, abdominal computed tomography, and blood tests. Initial diagnosis showed that the patients had acute diarrhea and digestive tract infections. Doctors took stool samples to perform stool culture to determine the exact cause.
Among the 9 patients, 3 people have been transferred to higher-level hospitals for monitoring and treatment, and 6 patients were hospitalized for treatment at the Department of Infectious Diseases - Thai Binh General Hospital.
