The signing ceremony of the handover and receipt minutes of the General Hospital of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to the Ministry of Health for management took place on March 25.
The handover ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Duc Hung, Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital; Specialist Doctor 2 Do The Hung, Deputy Director in charge of the General Hospital of Agriculture.
Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan emphasized: The reception of facilities today needs to be seen not only as an expansion in the scale of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, but also as an opportunity to more clearly define a modern hospital development model.
A large hospital in this period is not only affirmed by high technology, but also by system organization capacity, management strength, the ability to expand service space and the leading professional role for the entire industry.
Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan assigned 5 tasks to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and facilities, specifically:
Develop according to a closely linked chain model of medical facilities; clearly define roles between specialized centers and expanded facilities to increase service efficiency;
Prioritize improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, expansion must be accompanied by improving the experience, reducing waiting time, and increasing accessibility;

Innovate hospital governance towards modernity, based on data, system standardization, transparency and unified operation;
Utilize the system to develop training, scientific research and technology transfer, and spread expertise.
Viet Duc is a big brand of Vietnamese medicine, but a brand is only sustainable when it is always nurtured by new knowledge, new technology, new techniques and new human resources.
I expect new facilities to not only be places to receive and treat patients, but also a space for innovation, high-quality practical training, development of key techniques and spreading professional standards from a leading hospital to the entire system.
A strong hospital is not a hospital that keeps knowledge for itself, but a hospital that knows how to transform knowledge into the common capacity of the industry" - Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan expressed.
Putting people at the center, building a professional and united working environment, creating motivation for sustainable development.
Viet Duc Friendship Hospital needs to continue to do well in ideological work, personnel work, hospital culture building; create a professional, humane, united, disciplined working environment and inspire each official, employee, and worker at the new facilities to truly feel themselves as part of a large collective, sharing honor, responsibility and aspirations for development. To go far, you must go together; to develop sustainably, you must build a team of unity and solidarity" - Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan emphasized.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Duc Hung - Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital shared that the reception process is being implemented according to an appropriate roadmap. The handover is carried out in its original state to minimize disruption in the hospital's operations;
At the same time, ensuring social security, maintaining psychological stability for officials, employees and patients, creating a favorable foundation for the next stage of development, and expanding the ability to provide high-quality medical services to people.
The reception of the Agricultural General Hospital system is expected to contribute to reducing the burden on central facilities, strengthening professional interoperability between facilities in the system, thereby people benefiting from accessing high-quality, convenient and timely medical services.
