Information is circulating on social networks about two students in Hai Dong commune, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province, who mistakenly took rat poison in the form of syrup, resulting in one child dying and the other being actively treated at the hospital.
On the afternoon of April 24, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the People's Committee of Hai Dong Commune (Hai Hau District) said that regarding the above incident, the police are verifying and clarifying.
According to initial information, on the afternoon of April 23, a family in Hai Dong commune discovered 2 children in critical condition. Currently, her sister has died, and she is being transferred to a higher-level hospital for treatment.
Immediately after the incident, local authorities visited and encouraged the family.
Regarding the above incident, a leader of Hai Hau District General Hospital said that the two patients were hospitalized on April 23 after mistakenly taking rat poison. Of which, one patient died, another patient was transferred to a higher level after first aid.
