The Hanoi Department of Health has just issued a notice on the list of pharmacies selling drugs during the New Year and Tet At Ty 2025.

The announcement clearly stated that there are a total of 143 drug retail points, including 41 pharmacies in hospitals under the Hanoi Department of Health and 102 private pharmacies and drugstores in 30/30 districts, towns and cities.

The Hanoi Department of Health requires heads of medical examination and treatment facilities to be responsible for ensuring adequate supply of quality drugs to meet emergency and medical examination and treatment needs at the medical examination and treatment facility; assign specialized staff to be on duty 24/7; and not to speculate or increase drug prices during the New Year and Lunar New Year.

Pharmacies and drug stores are not allowed to take advantage of high demand to raise prices.

The Department also requested that the District, Town and City Health Departments take the lead and coordinate with relevant units to strengthen inspection of the implementation of professional regulations on pharmaceuticals and regulations on drug and cosmetic trading.

In particular, units focus on detecting counterfeit drugs, poor quality drugs, drugs not permitted for circulation; acts of hoarding, price increases, etc., and strictly handle detected cases.
