Hanoi Metro adjusts peak hours and applies new train schedules on two routes Cat Linh - Ha Dong and Nhon - Hanoi Station.

From February 9, 2026, Hanoi Railway Company Limited (Hanoi Metro) will adjust peak hours and apply new train schedules on two urban railway lines No. 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong and line 3.1 Nhon - Hanoi Station, in order to better meet the increasing travel needs of passengers.

According to Hanoi Metro, the adjustment is implemented according to the direction of the Hanoi Department of Construction, focusing on optimizing transport capacity during peak hours, which are times when passenger density increases.

Specifically, the peak hours are adjusted from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, instead of ending at 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM as before. During this time frame, the train frequency is 6 minutes/trip.

Outside peak hours, the time frame from 5:30 am - 6:00 am and from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, trains run at a frequency of 10 minutes/trip. For the time frame from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm, the frequency is adjusted to 15 minutes/trip, instead of the previous level of 10 minutes/trip.

The operating hours of urban railway lines are still maintained, from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

For weekends (saturdays, Sundays) and holidays, the frequency of trains running all day on the two urban railway lines No. 2A and line 3.1 (elevated section) is 10 minutes/trip.

According to Hanoi Metro, the implementation of the new train schedule is a necessary adjustment, in accordance with Decision No. 01/2026/QD-UBND dated January 4, 2026 of the Hanoi People's Committee on promulgating Regulations on the operation of road vehicles in the city. Thereby, contributing to optimizing transport capacity, improving service quality and bringing a safe - convenient - environmentally friendly travel experience for passengers, especially during peak hours.
