Shorten procedures, save time for medical examination
The implementation of electronic medical records (EIA) has been actively implemented by Vinh Long medical facilities, creating favorable conditions for both health care staff and people.
According to Dr.CK2 Huynh Huu Nhan - Director of Tra Vinh General Hospital, BaDT helps access patient information quickly, reduces administrative procedures, saves time and improves the efficiency of healthcare management.
Patient identification data is stored safely, supporting research and reducing printing costs, while helping health workers take care of patients more conveniently and effectively.

People also expressed their satisfaction. Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa (68 years old, Long Ho commune) said that medical examination procedures are now much more convenient, no longer having to bring medical examination books or many types of documents as before.
"Just by scanning the citizen identification card, the system will automatically look up information, saving waiting time significantly. The travel documents help people no longer worry about losing their documents, and going to the doctor is much easier, Mr. Khoa added.
Project to celebrate the Party Congress
Talking with Lao Dong, Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hang - Director of Vinh Long Department of Health said that deploying electronic medical records is a key task, with a breakthrough significance in management innovation and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment.
This is one of the typical projects, welcoming the 1st Party Congress of Vinh Long province, term 2025 - 2030.
"The results show that medical facilities have succeeded in replacing paper medical records with electronic medical records, helping to shorten processing time, increase accuracy in diagnosis, and make health insurance payments more convenient," Ms. Hang emphasized.

This is also a great effort of the Department of Health and 47 medical examination and treatment facilities in implementing Directive No. 07 of the Prime Minister on developing the application of population data, identification and electronic authentication, serving national digital transformation, along with the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and Project 06 on digital transformation in health.
"It is expected that on October 1, the provincial Department of Health will hold a ceremony to announce the results of the implementation of electronic medical records, marking an important step forward in modernizing the Vinh Long health sector, building a smart health system, better serving the work of taking care of people's health," Ms. Hang added.
