Electronic medical records create a boost in digital transformation of Vinh Long healthcare

HOÀNG LỘC |

Vinh Long promotes the implementation of electronic medical records (EIAs), towards smart hospitals, despite many difficulties in infrastructure and human resources.

The implementation of e-commerce is expected to optimize the medical examination and treatment process, helping hospitals manage patient information more scientifically, effectively and safely.

From quickly looking up medical records, minimizing errors due to manual records, to integrating data connections between departments, BADT creates a solid foundation for a modern health system.

From the perspective of the people, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (Ward 1, Vinh Long City) said that before going to see a doctor, she waited a long time before completing the procedures and finding old documents. Now, with electronic medical records, everything is resolved quickly. This helps us, especially the elderly, feel less tired and more satisfied with a convenient, time-saving medical examination and treatment process, said Ms. Lan.

According to Dr. Quan Kim Vinh - Director of the Traditional Medicine Hospital, the BADT dossier brings outstanding convenience to the medical team.

We can quickly access the patient's medical history and test results anytime, anywhere, helping to make diagnoses and treatment regimens more accurately and promptly. "This not only improves work efficiency but also reduces risks and optimizes hospital resources" - Mr. Vinh shared.

In an interview with Lao Dong, Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hang - Director of the Department of Health of Vinh Long province - informed that although medical facilities still have difficulties in terms of human resources, infrastructure... the Vinh Long health sector is still gradually removing difficulties... so by 5/20 the whole province, 93.3% of public medical examination and treatment facilities have announced the implementation of BaDT.

The implementation of the BaDT dossier is a breakthrough in the digital transformation of the provincial health sector, not only helping to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment but also aiming to satisfy patients, building a smarter, more friendly and effective health system.

According to Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hang, there is currently a public health unit in the process of implementing the BADT dossier project so that Vinh Long province can reach 100% of medical facilities applying BADT.

This is an important milestone, demonstrating the determination of the Vinh Long health sector in applying modern technology, towards the goal of providing high-quality, sustainable and comprehensive health care services for people in the digital age, Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hang affirmed.
