On May 19, Tuong Mai Ward Health Station coordinated with Hanoi Eye Hospital to organize a free eye health examination, consultation and care program for people in the area.

The program is implemented at two locations including Hoang Van Thu Ward Health Station and Tuong Mai Ward Health Station, attracting a large number of people to participate, mainly the elderly.
Present early at the examination point, Mr. Tham Van Hoa (75 years old, Tuong Mai ward) said that recently his eyes were often uncomfortable and blurred. After examination, doctors diagnosed him with cataracts.
If my eyes still do not improve in the future, wearing glasses but not seeing clearly, I will go for a re-examination and perform surgery according to the doctor's instructions," Mr. Hoa shared.
Also coming to check her eyes after a period of prolonged eye pain and itching, Ms. Nguyen Thi Sao (Tuong Mai ward) said that she knew about the free examination program through a notice in the locality, so she registered to participate.

In my opinion, organizing free eye exams right at the place of residence is very meaningful, especially for the elderly. We do not have to go far but still have access to medical services. Early detection of diseases also helps with timely treatment and limits severe complications," Ms. Sao said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Phan Thi Thuan (Tuong Mai ward) shared that she often suffers from eye strain, inflammation and itching, but previously could not arrange time to go for examination, causing the condition to last. At the program, she was examined by doctors, given medicine and performed some professional procedures, helping her eyes significantly reduce discomfort.

The program not only helps people detect eye diseases early but also creates conditions for many elderly people to access medical services more conveniently, contributing to improving the quality of life and bringing peace of mind to local people.
