The Dang Van Ngu Award was initiated by Hanoi Medical University in 2010 to honor scientists who are lecturers, researchers, students, and collaborators of Hanoi Medical University who have made outstanding achievements in scientific research.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu - Rector of Hanoi Medical University said: After each year of organization, the Dang Van Ngu award will mark the development and maturity in scale, quality and effectiveness of the University's scientific research work and this is demonstrated through the works published in prestigious international journals.
"Scientific research is an important regular activity of Hanoi Medical University. In the coming time, scientific research activities will be mandatory for lecturers and researchers of the University. With the research orientation on par with leading medical universities in Asia, scientific research activities need to be promoted" - The President of Hanoi Medical University shared.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu set out the tasks for the coming time for scientific research work: Continue to invest, promote scientific research activities, widely disseminate to staff, lecturers, students of the School; Develop a project for science and technology development of the School until 2030 and a vision to 2045-2050 along with the project for the development of Hanoi Medical University. Along with investment in resources, people, and facilities, we need to make the most of international projects to promote and enhance the quality of scientific research activities.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu sent his thanks to the families of the families who donated their bodies to the School to serve the training work of the School. This is an extremely meaningful and profound work, bringing great humanistic value to the career of training medical staff of Hanoi Medical University, as well as the career of training medical staff in general.
In 2024, the Dang Van Ngu Award Organizing Committee received 150 applications with a total of nearly 500 articles published in prestigious international journals in the ISI/SCOPUS system.
According to Prof. Dr. Tran Huy Thinh - Head of Science & Technology Management Department, Hanoi Medical University has announced the results of the Dang Van Ngu Award 2024. Accordingly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tran Ngoan - Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health won the first prize, Dr. Le Thi Hue - Department of Physiology won the second prize; MSc. Dang Kim Anh - Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health won the third prize.
The 5 works with the highest IF index (index measuring the influence of the journal through citations) in the 5 fields belong to Dr. Do Phuong Thao - Basic Medicine field; Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap - Clinical Medicine field; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan - Traditional Medicine field; Associate Professor, Dr. Le Minh Giang - Public Health field; MSc. Phung Thi Hanh - Nursing field.
2024 marks the 14th time Hanoi Medical University has awarded the Dang Van Ngu Prize to authors whose articles have been published in prestigious international scientific journals.
