At the 70th Anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), the Ministry of Health and the People's Committees of Dien Bien, Son La, and Bac Kan provinces awarded certificates of merit to many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements at the Central Dental and maxillofacial Hospital.
Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said: As a leading specialized medical facility, the hospital has made important contributions to the health care of people's oral health and improved the quality of treatment.
The hospital is not only a place for surgical treatment and oral care, but also a place for training and scientific research, and at the same time a solid support in community oral health prevention and care...
"The hospital has pioneered the application of new techniques, applied advanced treatment methods, and performed many complex surgeries. In addition, the hospital has continuously trained highly qualified human resources, equipped with knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of medical work in the context of international integration.
The hospital is also one of the pioneers in researching and applying new technology to treatment. The application of modern and advanced treatment methods such as cosmetic surgery, implementations, and treatment of complex oral diseases has helped the hospital improve the quality of treatment, reduce pain and recovery time for patients," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
The Deputy Minister suggested that the hospital continue to invest in training and improving the professional qualifications of medical staff. Regarding improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, hospitals need to improve the medical examination process, quickly and effectively meet the requirements of medical examination and treatment of the people, and increase patient satisfaction.
The Deputy Minister of Health also requested the hospital to speed up the progress of building facility 2 to soon put it into operation and serve the people.
"The hospital's facilities are currently quite cramped, not commensurate with the scale and development of the hospital. Therefore, it is necessary to soon expand the operating facilities and model like other hospitals that have been successfully implemented" - said the Deputy Minister.

Many techniques are on par with the world
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cao Binh, Director of the Central Dental and Maxillofacial Hospital, Chairman of the Vietnam Dental and Maxillofacial Association, said: In 2024, the Hospital was considered by the Ministry of Health to be a specialized hospital and the initiative to place the endotracheal arrangement under the chin has been practically and effectively applied in anesthesia and maxillofacial surgery.
The hospital has improved its capacity for medical examination and treatment, community oral health care; achieved many achievements in community prevention work and expanded care provisionaries such as preschool children, the elderly, school dental patients, etc.
The hospital also carries out humanitarian examination, consultation and surgery activities for thousands of children with cleft lip and mouth disease.
The hospital is highly appreciated by the domestic and internationalmental community. To date, the hospital has built 10 surgical techniques, including many techniques at world-class standards such as: micro-surgical techniques, boneorthopedic surgery, application of 3D technology, etc.
"These techniques have become routine, contributing to retaining patients in the country, not having to go abroad for medical examination and treatment. At the same time, it also attracts foreigners and overseas Vietnamese to Vietnam for medical examination and treatment" - Associate Professor Binh said.
