On January 11, Hue City Department of Health in coordination with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and Viettel Hue City organized a program to provide medical examinations, free medicine distribution and gifts to policy families and households in difficult circumstances in Hoa Chau ward.
Attending the program were Dr. Truong Van Dat - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Kiem Hao - Director of Hue City Department of Health, along with representatives of relevant units and a large number of local people.
The program is organized with the spirit of "mutual love", aiming to help people, especially vulnerable groups, access essential health services, take care of their health and reduce difficulties in life. This is also an activity in response to Directive No. 25-CT/TW of the Secretariat and Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on improving the quality of people's health protection and care.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, doctors and nurses organized medical examinations, health consultations and free medicine distribution for about 300 people with specialties of internal medicine, dermatology, eye, dentistry, and X-rays.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to 5 children, 5 difficult households and visited and presented gifts to 2 veterans in the locality.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Kiem Hao, the program not only brings practical benefits to the people but also contributes to spreading the spirit of social responsibility, showing the image of Hue City's health sector being close to the people, for the people.
