At the 70th Anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27,55 - February 27, 2025) organized by the Can Tho City Department of Health on February 24, Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen commended officers and employees of the whole industry for their achievements in recent times.
"Along with the health sector nationwide and with the same professional dedication, the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Can Tho Health sector have strived to overcome all difficulties and challenges to be trusted by the Party and State and loved by the people" - Mr. Tuyen said at the ceremony.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, in 2025, to contribute to the city in completing its tasks, the health sector needs to continue to build the moral qualities of doctors, implement a green - clean - beautiful, environmentally friendly medical facility, contribute to improving the quality of health services and public health, towards the satisfaction of patients. This needs to be done regularly and continuously, creating self-awareness in each person.
At the ceremony, Director of Can Tho Department of Health Hoang Quoc Cuong informed that in 2024, the health sector achieved many outstanding results. This is the first year that the industry has successfully organized the first Can Tho City Grassroots Health Conference, which has been highly appreciated by the Ministry of Health and international organizations.
Along with the application of artificial intelligence in medical examination and treatment, the health sector also builds and standardizes the model of family doctors at health stations. To date, Can Tho has had 6 family doctor clinics in districts in the area.
The Director of Can Tho Department of Health said that with the set tasks, the city's health sector will be determined to strive continuously to complete the task of taking care of people's health.
"We also continue to motivate cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to strive to fulfill the goals and tasks at each unit... We would like to express our gratitude to our colleagues, white-clad soldiers who carry out the task of protecting, caring for, and improving people's health" - Mr. Cuong expressed his gratitude to workers in the whole industry.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals in the Can Tho City Health Sector received noble titles and awards. Accordingly, 6 collectives and individuals were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal; 5 individuals were awarded the title of national emulation fighter.
1 individual was awarded the title of People's Doctor; 41 individuals were awarded the title of Excellent Doctor.
The first Can Tho City Medical Achievement Award has awarded one first prize, one second prize, one third prize and 15 consolation prizes to 18 groups.
