On the morning of February 23, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) informed that the TBM 1 had passed through a safe residential area (a residential area in Kim Ma ward, Ba Dinh district).
Accordingly, the "Than Phap" TBM has dug more than 1.2km and is still continuing construction at an average speed of 10-12m/day.
TBM 1 starts from the S9 - Kim Ma underground station and will go to the next station, the S10 - Cat Linh station. The length of the underground section (from S9 - S10) according to the design is 1,338m.
Thus, currently, TBM 1 is only more than 100m from S10 - Cat Linh Station.
Previously, on February 20, an incident occurred with a tunnel excavator sprayed on the ground in the residential area of lane 7 Giang Van Minh (Kim Ma ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi).
According to MRB, during the drilling process, the tunnel drill accessories are sprayed with pressure to stabilize the soil in front of the peach mirror. When encountering holes, tunnel drilling additives combining water and fine materials in the soil will follow these holes to the ground.
By this morning, February 23, the repair work had been basically completed. The investor has conducted statistics and provided financial support to affected households.
In lane 7, Giang Van Minh street, there are more than 30 households living. Before the incident, 15 households had temporarily resided, 3 households (capable of being directly affected when constructing underground excavation) had demolished their houses to hand over the site to the investor.
"The unexpected incident caused many inconveniences. These past few days, most people have been at home, unable to go anywhere. The households here are all worried, first of all about environmental issues, second of all about the safety of housing projects if other incidents continue to occur, because in the near future, there will continue to be a digging machine passing through", a resident in lane 7 Giang Van Minh shared.
Informing about the incident, Mr. Salvatore La Valle - Head of TBM's Engineering Team affirmed that the housing projects on the tunnel were constantly monitored and were all within the safety threshold.
The above phenomenon may continue to occur, however, the contractor has developed a response plan in advance and is making efforts to speed up the handling progress to ensure environmental sanitation and people's lives.
According to the diagram of the underground section of the Hanoi City Metro pilot Urban Railway Project, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section (Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro), tunnel excavators TBM 1 and TBM 2 will dig a tunnel with a length of nearly 2.58km (from S9 - S12 stations).
Of which, from S9 to S10 station is nearly 1,338m, S10 to S11 station is nearly 700m and S11 to S12 station is nearly 538m. The underground project passes through residential areas.
According to MrB's previous report, through monitoring and surveying the current status, the project has compiled a list of 50 construction works affected by the project's tunnel construction. Of which, 7 households had to demolish their houses and 43 households temporarily resided there.
Kim Ma Station (S9 Station) is the first underground station of. This location is in Ngoc Khanh ward, Ba Dinh district, right at the foot of Vinhomes Metropolis.
From Kim Ma station towards Giang Vo intersection is the location of Cat Linh underground station ( choice station S10). This station is located on Cat Linh Street, under Pullman Hanoi Hotel.
Van Mieu Underground Station (S11 Station) is located at the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam intersection. From here, the train will go towards Tran Quy Cap to reach Hanoi Station.
S12 underground station is located next to the Tran Hung Dao - Le Duan intersection, right in front of the Hanoi Station gate. This is an underground station and the final stop of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line.
