On March 25, regarding the amount of money robbed of more than 2 million USD in Tay Ninh, a source said that the entire amount of evidence is currently being temporarily detained by the authorities for appraisal and transfer to the State Treasury in accordance with the litigation process. The victim was Ms. P.T.M.L. (43 years old) also submitted some related invoices and documents to prove the origin of the money.
The authorities are continuing to investigate to verify the above amount.
Regarding the investigation of the case, Tay Ninh Provincial Police have been coordinating with the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) to take statements from Dao Xuan Loc (born in 1991, residing in Dong Nai), Nguyen Tuan Anh (born in 1993, residing in Ninh Binh), Nguyen Anh Duy (born in 1993, residing in Binh Dinh) after moving from Gia Lai to Tay Ninh to clarify details related to the robbery.

Previously, the police also initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and detained Pham Ly Phuong (born in 1991, residing in Tay Ninh province, the mastermind of the case) for the crime of "Robbery"; prosecuted and detained Le Nguyen Binh (born in 1988, residing in Gia Lai) for the crime of "Concealing a crime".
Through investigation, the police initially determined that Ms. L. was acquainted with Ms. H. (Phuong.). After that, Ms. L. gave Ms. H more than 2 million USD to handle the work. Phuong knew that her mother had just received a large sum of money, so she discussed with her accomplices Loc, Duy and Tuan Anh a plan to act as police officers to appropriate this money. On the afternoon of March 10, the group drove a car to Phuong's house and claimed to be a police officer, checked the origin of the foreign currency, then seized more than 2 million USD, then brazenly got in the car and left.
After that, Ms. L. and Phuong went to Tay Ninh Provincial Police to report that more than 2 million USD had been appropriated. At the police station, Phuong admitted to committing the crime. Phuong took turns revealing the plan as well as the accomplices. Realizing that this was a complicated case, especially dangerous, with huge property damage, Tay Ninh Provincial Police and the Criminal Police Department investigated and verified.

On March 15, the police arrested Binh at a hotel in Ha Dong district (Hanoi), confiscating nearly 2 million USD. This is the evidence of the case where the robbers arranged for Binh to go to Hanoi to receive money. As for Loc, Tuan Anh and Duy, they fled and were wanted by the police. Through investigation until noon on March 24, the Criminal Police Department presided over and coordinated with the Tay Ninh Provincial Police and other professional units to arrest Loc, Tuan Anh and Duy at a motel in Chu Se District, Gia Lai.
