Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article reflecting the current situation of karaoke activities disguised as music box shops, entertainment studios, or even restaurants where people sing to each other, which are "blooming" in Hanoi.
These establishments operate until midnight, attracting many people who want to sing, posing a potential risk of fire and explosion and causing difficulties in management.
According to a report by the Hanoi People's Committee, as of December 2024, the city has more than 1,500 karaoke establishments, but currently only nearly 80 establishments are eligible for operating licenses.
