Research on merging TV stations into provincial party newspapers
On February 14, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu signed and issued Conclusion No. 126-KL/TW of the Politburo and the Secretariat on a number of contents to continue to reorganize and streamline the apparatus of the political system in 2025.
In the conclusion, the Politburo and the Secretariat assigned the Party Committees of the Central Party agencies to lead and direct the Party Committees of the Supreme People's Court and the Party Committees of the Supreme People's Procuracy to study and advise on the agency model (court, Procuracy) in the direction of abolishing intermediate levels (district level) and propose to supplement and amend the Party's mechanisms and policies and relevant State laws.
Continue to innovate the organization and improve the quality of activities of the People's Court and the People's Procuracy to meet the requirements of judicial reform in the new situation; report to the Politburo in the second quarter of 2025.
The Politburo and the Secretariat assigned the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee, the Government Party Committee, Party committees and Party organizations to study and orient the arrangement of local press agencies in the direction of merging radio and television agencies under the Provincial People's Committee into press agencies of provincial and centrally-run cities.
The Politburo and the Secretariat assigned the Central Military Commission to preside over and coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee, the Government Party Committee, the National Assembly Party Committee, relevant Party committees and Party organizations to study and orient the continued arrangement of the Army organization (including the organization of district-level military agencies).
Propose to supplement and amend the Party's mechanisms and policies and relevant State laws, report to the Politburo in the third quarter of 2025.
Rearranging socio-political organizations and mass organizations
The Politburo and the Secretariat assigned the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations to coordinate with the Central Organization Committee, the Government Party Committee, the National Assembly Party Committee and the Party Committees of socio-political organizations and mass organizations at the Central level assigned by the Party and State to:
Lead and direct a general review of the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of affiliated agencies and organizations, especially press agencies, to ensure unified management and operational efficiency in the direction of maximum streamlining, only maintaining units that are really necessary, and report to the Politburo in the second quarter of 2025.
Study the orientation to continue rearranging socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State to be under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (in sync with the current party organization structure) and propose a policy to amend and supplement relevant legal regulations and regulations of the Party, report to the Politburo in the third quarter of 2025.
The Politburo and the Secretariat assigned the Document Subcommittee and the 14th National Party Congress subcommittees to absorb relevant contents on the arrangement of the apparatus, orientations for perfecting the organizational model of the political system to include in the draft Congress documents.
In particular, the draft Political Report and the draft Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress on policies and orientations for amending and supplementing the Party Charter, Guidelines, and Constitution (if necessary) to have a basis for implementation in the coming term.
The Politburo and the Secretariat assigned the Central Organizing Committee and the Central Party Office to monitor and urge Party committees, agencies, units and localities to implement this Conclusion to ensure the quality and progress set out.
