During the patrol on National Highway 1A through Phu Dong Commune (Hanoi City), the interdisciplinary working group led by Major Nguyen Dang Hau - an officer of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 (Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police) - coordinated with Phu Dong Commune Police to carry out patrol and control tasks on National Highway 1A as planned.
At around 1:30 p.m. on August 9, at house number 519 Ha Huy Tap Street, the working group discovered two young men riding a Honda Wave motorbike with license plate 11L1-015.xx showing suspicious signs, so they signaled to stop the vehicle.
During the inspection, the subject sitting behind voluntarily handed over two silver foil packages wrapped in nylon, containing white powder suspected to be drugs. In the on-site struggle, the subject confessed that this was heroin he bought for use.
The two subjects were then taken to the Phu Dong Commune Police headquarters for clarification. The identities were identified as Hoang Van B. (born in 1996, driver) and Giang Van D. (born in 2004, the person sitting behind), all residing in Cao Bang province.
The case has been handed over to Phu Dong Commune Police for further investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
