Implementing the plan of the Traffic Police Department, the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi City Police, from 12:00 on July 25, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department simultaneously deployed a plan to general control the business activities of passenger and cargo transport on inland waterway and road routes.
On the night of July 26, working groups of road traffic police teams checked and controlled all night at routes, gate points, wharves and key areas.
At about 9:15 p.m., on Nguyen Van Linh Street (Phuc Loi Commune, Hanoi City), the Working Group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 discovered a passenger car with license plate 34B-023.xx carrying goods in the passenger compartment, violating transportation regulations.
Just a few minutes later, the working group continued to inspect the passenger car with license plate 23H-012.xx running on the Bac Giang - Meo Vac route (more than 300km away), discovering a car carrying 24 people while only allowed to carry 20 people, exceeding the prescribed number.
Both violations have been recorded and handled in accordance with regulations.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Do Trong Tuan - Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 5, the authorities are determined to strictly handle the situation, there are no "no-fields", no exceptions for violations, to ensure order and discipline in transportation activities in the area.

Since the peak period was implemented, the city's traffic police have detected and handled 195 cases of violations related to transportation, including 186 cases on the road (mainly passenger cars and trucks) and 9 cases on waterways.
Not only taking place at night, control activities are maintained 24/24 hours on many streets of the capital.
Early in the morning of July 27, on belt routes such as Nguyen Trai and Khuat Duy Tien, working groups of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 inspected and handled many contract vehicles and limousine vehicles that stopped and picked up and dropped off passengers in violation of regulations.
Lieutenant Colonel Vuong Dang Cuong - Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 - said that this is a vital traffic route with a large volume of vehicles. Stopping in the wrong place can easily cause traffic obstruction, congestion and pose a potential risk to traffic safety.
At the same time, Road Traffic Police Team No. 14 organized inspections at routes near Giap Bat and Nuoc Ngam bus stations. Through checking journey monitoring data, the unit discovered and handled a number of drivers who violated regulations such as: stopping and parking in the wrong location, not installing a seat belt, using a phone while driving a vehicle...
In the coming time, the Hanoi Traffic Police will continue to maintain 24/24h control, focusing on strictly handling violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents, contributing to restoring order and discipline in the transport sector.
