On February 12, the police force worked with Ms. X (38 years old, residing in Ea O commune, Ea Kar district, Dak Lak province) to clarify the information about being pickpocketed while taking her child to Children's Hospital 2 (Ho Chi Minh City).
Accordingly, Ben Nghe Ward Police, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with Ea O Commune Police (Dak Lak Province) to invite Ms. X to work.
At the meeting, Ms. X stated that the loss of money was real and that she had taken her child to Children's Hospital 2 for examination.
After being pickpocketed, Mrs. X posted on social media a call for financial support for her child’s medical examination. Immediately after, the incident caused a stir on social media.
Ms. X confirmed that the incident of having 9.5 million VND stolen was real and that she had received more than 27 million VND in support from everyone. Apart from the medical examination for her child, she did not withdraw a single thousand VND to spend on personal purposes.
