Recently, in the Central Bank Governor Rating Report 2025, Global Finance Magazine published a list of Central Bank Governors with the highest ratings, including A+, A or A-. Notably, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong is ranked A+.
The Central Bank Governor Ranking Report has been published annually by Global Finance since 1994, ranking the Central Bank Governors of nearly 100 countries, territories and key regions, as well as the European Union, the Central Bank for Eastern Caribbean Countries (ECCB), the Central Bank of Central African Nations (BEAC) and the Central Bank of West African Countries (BCEAO).
The scores are rated on a scale of A+ to F, based on success in areas such as inflation control, achieving economic growth targets, stabilizing currency, managing interest rates... (A shows excellent level, gradually decreasing to F - a sign of comprehensive failure).
Our annual report aims to recognize leaders who not only achieve results but also demonstrate independence, discipline and strategic vision in management, said Joseph Giarraputo, founder and editor of Global Finance.
