On the evening of May 5, Dong Thanh Commune Police in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police arrested 2 subjects who robbed a gold shop on Dang Thuc Vinh Street (Dong Thanh Commune, Hoc Mon District). The identities of these two young men have not been announced.
Earlier, at around 1:00 p.m. the same day, people in the area heard a loud shout from a gold shop on Dang Thuc Vinh Street, Dong Thanh Commune.
A witness present at the scene said that when they heard the shouts, the two young men rushed into the car and ran away, even throwing away a bag, suspected to contain gold.
Another witness said that the two subjects managed to take away some rings and gold bracelets before getting on the bus and leaving the scene.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Dong Thanh Commune Police force quickly arrived, coordinating with relevant professional units to block off the entire gold shop area to serve the investigation.
Professional measures are being implemented, including collecting statements from witnesses and extracting images from security cameras installed at gold shops and neighboring areas, to identify the identifying characteristics of the two perpetrators and their escape directions.
