On April 30, information from the People's Committee of Tan Thang commune (Quynh Luu district) said that the police are temporarily detaining Mr. Ha Van Thuy (born in 1985, residing in Bac Thang hamlet, Tan Thang commune) to investigate the act of assaulting a teacher right in the campus of Bac Thang school, belonging to Tan Thang Primary and Secondary School.
According to the initial report, at around 4:30 p.m. on April 28, after students finished school in heavy rain, Mr. Thuy appeared in the schoolyard without a hat or raincoat. When teacher H asked "why not wear a raincoat?", Mr. Thuy suddenly rushed in to beat the teacher, causing the victim to panic and run away.
After that, Mr. Thuy went to teacher N.T.K.N (the homeroom teacher of the 3+4 -class coat), with his hand grabbing his hair, assaulting and pulling the teacher in the middle of the school yard continued to hit in the rain. The incident took place right in front of many students and parents, causing the atmosphere at the school to panic. A video recording the image of Mr. Thuy loudly murdered, pulled and hit the teacher's head continuously, and forced her to "stand in the rain", spread rapidly on social networks from the morning of April 29, causing indignation in the public opinion.Chairman of Tan Thang Commune People's Committee - Mr. Le Anh Nga - confirmed the incident and added that it is not yet possible to confirm whether Mr. Thuy was using alcohol or not at the time of committing the crime, this is waiting for the conclusion from the authorities.
The incident occurred at Bac Thang school - located more than 10km from the main school. At that time, the teachers were keeping the students waiting for their parents to pick them up due to heavy rain, to ensure safety.
It is known that Mr. Thuy is the parent of a 4th grade student. Mr. Thuy's hooliganism in the pedagogical environment has upset many people. Many opinions said that this behavior not only violates the law but also causes serious psychological damage to teachers, students and the school community.
