On the evening of January 1, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoi An City Police, Quang Nam prosecuted 8 suspects for the crime of "Disturbing public order".
The accused, aged between 16 and 22, include: Truong The Khai, Le Thanh Danh, Le Hong Son (all residing in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province); Vo Doan Quoc Lanh, Do Anh Quan (all residing in Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam), Bach Truong Thanh Nhan (residing in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province); Pham Thi Tran Chau (residing in Minh An ward, Hoi An city); Nguyen Thi Cam Ngoc (residing in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri).
The police also executed arrest warrants for Truong The Khai, Nguyen Thi Cam Ngoc and Le Thanh Danh; issued house arrest orders for Pham Thi Tran Chau and Le Hong Son; Vo Doan Quoc Lanh, Do Anh Quan and Bach Truong Thanh Nhan are being detained by police from other units for other crimes.
According to the investigation records, on the evening of August 21, 2024, and early morning of August 22, 2024, a group of 30 teenagers carrying pig-stabbing knives, iron pipes, and "gasoline bombs" from other areas gathered in Hoi An city to resolve conflicts on social networks with local teenagers.
The subjects moved on many routes, weaving, using petrol bombs, injuring 2 passersby and causing disorder in the area.
Although the incident happened late at night, the subjects came from other localities, used covered motorbikes, and removed the license plates, but Hoi An City Police urgently collected and consolidated evidence, investigated to clarify the incident, completed the file, and strictly handled the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
