According to the conclusion of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan at the meeting to deploy tasks on planning and renovating the space in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake, the city will relocate about 40 households and 11 headquarters of agencies including: Department of Culture and Sports, Institute of Literature (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences), Hanoi Population Department, Hanoi Association of the Blind, Northern Power Corporation, Hanoi Power Corporation, National Power Transmission Corporation, Power Hotel, City Citizen Reception Office, Hoan Kiem Power Company, State Treasury Office headquarters.
According to Lao Dong on March 14, these headquarters are all located on a plot of land limited by Dinh Tien Hoang, Tran Nguyen Han, Ly Thai To streets and the headquarters of the Department of Culture and Sports on Hang Dau street. This area is located right next to Hoan Kiem Lake, one of the most prime locations in Hanoi.
For the headquarters area of the National Power Transmission Corporation, Northern Power Corporation, Hanoi Power Corporation, Electricity Hotel, City is currently assigning the Department of Planning and Architecture to study and propose new headquarters locations for units (in the headquarters area of the Corporations - Cau Giay New Urban Area).
The Office of the City People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to arrange a working session of the City People's Committee leaders with leaders of corporations and units to agree on plans and solutions to speed up the implementation progress.
For Hoan Kiem Power Company headquarters, the headquarters of the State Treasury Office, the city assigned the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem district to review the land fund in the district, arrange a suitable location or report and propose to the City People's Committee for consideration and decision.
For the City Citizen Reception Office, Hanoi assigned the Department of Construction, the Department of Finance, and the City People's Committee Office to study and propose the arrangement of a new location as the City Citizen Reception Office, ensuring spaciousness and convenience for receiving citizens before traveling.
For the headquarters of the Department of Culture and Sports, the Institute of Literature (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences), the Hanoi Population Department, the Hanoi Association of the Blind, and Hanoi City, the Department of Construction is assigned to coordinate with the Department of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review the city's housing and land funds and based on the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets to propose new headquarters for units according to regulations.
It is expected that the site clearance work in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake will be completed before September 2.
The city also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to study, advise, and propose to the City People's Committee to apply the highest compensation mechanism and policy for people, and arrange resettlement by land (in Dong Anh district) for cases eligible for compensation for residential land.
The Department of Construction studies, reviews, and proposes to arrange temporary housing for households (while waiting for land allocation for resettlement) and sell resettlement housing to cases that do not meet the conditions for resettlement by land to stabilize their lives when carrying out site clearance.
