On August 29, according to Ke Sat commune, Hai Phong city, the locality has completed the payment of compensation and support money in the first phase for households with land and assets recovered to implement the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line construction investment project.
Implementing Decision No. 1312/QD-UBND dated August 22, 2026 of Ke Sat Commune People's Committee on approving the compensation and support plan for phase 1 of the project implementation, in 3 days, from August 26-28, the Project Compensation, Support, and Resettlement Council organized direct payments to people with recovered land, owners of recovered assets in Hung Thinh, Tuy Lai, Bang Xa, Hung Thang and Nhan Kiet villages.
According to the approved plan, phase 1 of the project recovered 141,521.4m2 of specialized rice land (LUC) from 227 households and individuals. The total compensation and support cost is 94,773,236,000 VND.
In which, the compensation cost for rice land is 14,152,140,000 VND; compensation for rice plants 1,415,214,000 VND; support for training and vocational conversion 70,760,700,000 VND; support for stabilizing production and business 4,245,642,000 VND and support for stabilizing life 3,699,541,000 VND.
According to Ke Sat commune, the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project, the section passing through the commune, has received high consensus and support from households with recovered land and assets and local people. The project is expected to create motivation for Ke Sat commune to develop socio-economics, contributing to changing the face of the homeland.
