On the afternoon of August 18, Gia Loc Commune People's Committee, Hai Phong City coordinated with the Compensation, Support, and Resettlement Council of Component Project 2 under the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line construction investment project to organize the payment of compensation and site clearance support to households and individuals in Binh De village who have land and assets on land that are recovered for project implementation.
According to the plan approved in Decision No. 2019/QD-UBND dated August 11, 2026 of Gia Loc Commune People's Committee, this payment phase has 52 households and individuals in Binh De village receiving compensation and support money. The total area of land recovered in phase 2 is more than 7,000m2.
In which, the area of rice land within the site clearance scope is more than 5,300m2; the remaining rice land area is small and difficult to cultivate outside the site clearance scope, about 1,700m2.
The total approved compensation and support cost is more than 4.9 billion VND, including compensation for agricultural land, trees, and crops; supporting vocational conversion, stabilizing production and people's lives according to regulations.
At the payment session, representatives of the Commune People's Committee, the Compensation, Support, and Resettlement Council and specialized agencies of the commune coordinated to guide people to carry out procedures for receiving money, ensuring publicity, correct subjects, and the approved plan.
The person receiving the money must be the person named in the compensation and support dossier. In case of receiving on behalf, there must be a power of attorney certified by Gia Loc Commune People's Committee and carrying a valid citizen identification card.
The payment of compensation and support money to households in Binh De village is a step in site clearance work, contributing to ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of people, and at the same time accelerating the progress of the project to invest in the construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line through Gia Loc commune.
Gia Loc commune strives to complete payments to people in areas with recovered land within the project scope passing through the commune in August.
