On June 19, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced that it had approved the adjustment of the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
In particular, adding an urban development model based on the public transport system (TOD), orienting the planning of urban development along the Ho Tram urban expressway - Long Thanh International Airport. This is considered an important strategy to develop a modern urban space, while promoting effective regional linkages.
Traffic infrastructure focuses on synchronizing the road system, from national to local levels, creating a smooth and efficient network. By 2030, it is expected that there will be 23 provincial roads, including 12 existing routes that will be upgraded and expanded and 11 new additions. In particular, the Ho Tram - Long Thanh Airport urban expressway is included in the priority investment list with a scale of 4-6 lanes.
The Go gas airport planning has been abolished, and urban - service development orientation in this area is oriented. The Dat Do airport planning is oriented to be a level 4C specialized airport with an area of about 244.3 hectares. As for Vung Tau Airport, Con Dao Airport will remain the same and develop according to the national master plan.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, adjusting the provincial planning to amend and supplement a number of contents, contributing to concretizing the development goals of space, infrastructure, urban, commercial and environmental protection of the province in the coming time.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned responsibilities to departments, branches and localities in the organization and implementation work. At the same time, it is required that inspection and examination agencies strengthen supervision of planning implementation and strictly handle violations to ensure substantial and effective implementation.
