Big fire at ginseng store in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - A large fire at a ginseng business in Tan Binh is being investigated by the authorities.

At around 2:30 p.m. on June 15, people discovered smoke and fire rising fiercely from the upper floor of a house on Hau Giang Street, Ward 4, Tan Binh District, which is a business establishment for ginseng and herbal medicine.

Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Tan Binh Police mobilized many specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to carry out fire fighting work. At around 15,20 the smoke continued to rise, and the authorities tried to prevent the fire from spreading to the lower floors and to the house next door.

Traffic around Hau Giang Street was temporarily blocked to ensure safety and serve fire fighting.

Initially, no human casualties were recorded, however, the property damage is assessed to be significant.

The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified.
