In particular, in Van Don Special Zone, most of the new names, from the name of the special zone to the departments, groups... have been given signs.
Van Don Special Zone was established on the basis of transferring the status quo of Van Don island district with 12 commune-level administrative units, including 5 island communes.
In the island communes and remote communes of Van Don, including: Quan Lan, Minh Chau, Ban Sen, Thang Loi, Binh Dan and Dai Xuyen, working groups were established in the area. This group includes personnel in the field of Party building, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organizations, civil servants of some departments, professional departments and some current non-professional cadres of the commune. Each team is expected to have 10-15 personnel and will have 1 team leader and 1 deputy team leader in charge of the area.

Meanwhile, in Ha Long City, Ha Long Ward (established on the basis of merging Hong Ha Ward and Hong Hai Ward; taking the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Hong Hai Ward as the headquarters of the new ward) also has a new name sign.

The new Hong Gai ward, established on the basis of merging Hong Gai ward and Tran Hung Dao ward; taking the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Tran Hung Dao ward as the headquarters of the new ward) has also had its new name change.

One of the names of commune-level administrative units that first appeared in Quang Ninh was Yen Tu, Uong Bi City. Yen Tu ward was established on the basis of merging Phuong Dong ward, Phuong Nam ward and Thuong Yen Cong commune.

Currently, 54 new commune-level administrative units of Quang Ninh have just tested the 2-level local government model and are making efforts to complete the top priority tasks to officially put the 2-level local government into operation with the whole country from July 1, 2025.
