At the meeting, Mr. Duong Hoang Anh Toan, Deputy Head of the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, apologized to the affected households and committed to supporting and compensating appropriately for the affected households.
According to Mr. Duong Hoang Anh Toan, the project to upgrade and expand DT. 753 road is a key project of the province, which is of great interest to the Central Government and has allocated sufficient capital to implement. The strategic goal of this route is to connect the locality with Long Thanh airport and Cai Mep port, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and develop the family economy. In the late 2025 period, with the pressure to accelerate the disbursement and completion of the project, the Project Management Board made shortcomings in timely inspection and supervision. This led to a construction situation that was not suitable for the actual situation, directly affecting people's lives.
“As the investor, the representative of the Project Management Board has frankly acknowledged responsibility and sent the most sincere apologies to all people for the inconveniences that have occurred. The Project Management Board is committed not to blame the supervision or construction units, but will focus on overcoming errors,” Mr. Toan said.
Regarding the recent violations, the representative admitted responsibility and said that the Project Management Board has decided to handle the construction unit and the supervision unit. Mr. Toan sent sincere apologies to the people, and frankly acknowledged that the supervision stage of the Management Board was not timely due to the pressure of a large workload.
According to the Deputy Head of the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the handling of construction and supervision units is a serious mistake, which will be a "stain" in the dossier when these units participate in bidding for projects later.
Also according to Mr. Toan, to ensure the rights of the people, the Project Management Board would like to make specific commitments: welfare support will continue to mobilize socialized resources to support people in relocation, ensuring stable and absolutely safe lives. Accelerating compensation will be closely coordinated with the Dong Phu Regional Land Fund Development Center to implement compensation payments quickly and in accordance with the law. Listening and coordinating will need to stand side by side with local authorities to listen to and answer feedback and create the best conditions for people to soon stabilize their lives.
Mr. Toan also affirmed that as long as people agree with the prescribed price plan, they will have money available to pay immediately within a month. The project management board also shows flexibility when ready to support people to lower the ground to facilitate travel if the land area in the project is handed over soon. For land areas outside the scope or problems with agricultural land, the Board will work with the commune to remove difficulties, ensure the best rights for people and encourage people to proactively move to residential land according to the plan to anticipate the value when the main road connecting Ma Da bridge to Dong Nai and Ring Road 4 is completed.
After listening to the explanation, the households basically agreed with the remedial plan. People expressed their desire to soon complete the compensation and resettlement support procedures, and at the same time requested the construction unit to urgently lower the height of the old land foundation so that people have land to build new houses.
