On August 10, records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at the old Vinh Bus Station land plot, No. 77 Le Loi street, Thanh Vinh ward, Nghe An province showed that most of the land area has not been exploited.
The land area is about 9,667.8m2, located in the center of Vinh city. Previously, the entire area was used as Vinh Bus Station.
From April 2018, passenger transport activities here were transferred to Bac Vinh Bus Station. After the bus station relocated, the old land was not returned to the State but Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company continued to lease and use it.

According to records, inside the old Vinh Bus Station campus is a large yard, with many empty spaces. A part of the area is used as a parking space for cars and shuttle buses; some areas outside are used to sell groceries, confectionery and serve some small business activities.
Compared to the area of nearly 10,000m2 and the location in the central urban area, the actual exploited area is not much.
Before relocation, this land was leased by the People's Committee of Nghe An province to Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company for the purpose of building a bus station, in the form of annual land rent payment.

After Vinh Bus Station moved to the new location, the enterprise continued to use land plot No. 77 Le Loi street and fulfilled financial obligations for land lease.
Talking to PV of Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the Land Management Department, Nghe An Department of Agriculture and Environment said that the above-mentioned land area has been leased by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to businesses.
After having a new location to relocate Vinh Bus Station, the enterprise continues to use the old land and pays land rent annually.

According to this person, a few years ago, Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company proposed to convert the land area into a housing project, but Nghe An Provincial People's Committee did not agree.
Currently, businesses are still paying land rent annually. The planning of this land area is still traffic land, so the State has no basis to recover it" - said the leader of the Land Management Department.
Thus, more than 8 years after Vinh Bus Station was moved out of the central area, the land area of nearly 10,000m2 at 77 Le Loi street is still leased by businesses, but most of the area has not been effectively exploited.
The above situation raises the issue of the efficiency of using a large land area with a convenient location in the middle of the city, while the bus station function here has been terminated for many years.
