Binh Duong Province's Electronic Information Portal reported that provincial leaders had a working session with the Southern Power Project Management Board and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) to resolve difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance for the Duc Hoa - Chon Thanh 500kV transmission line project through the province.
To resolve the problem, EVNNPT has adjusted the Duc Hoa - Chon Thanh 500kV transmission line project, increasing the cost of compensation for site clearance by nearly VND 1,745 billion, raising the total cost of compensation for site clearance to more than VND 2,055 billion.
Currently, the site clearance in Binh Duong is facing difficulties because the land valuation has not been completed and the compensation plan has not been issued. Many households have not agreed to receive the advance payment and hand over the site.
According to Binh Duong Province Electronic Information Portal, at the working session, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh - Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee requested the electricity sector and relevant localities and units to resolutely and focus on removing difficulties and obstacles.
It is necessary to resolve this issue immediately in the first quarter of 2025 so that the project can be implemented, completed, and put into use to meet the province's electricity needs.
It is known that the Duc Hoa - Chon Thanh 500kV transmission line project has a total length of 104 km. The project passes through 4 provinces including Long An, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc.
The section through Binh Duong province has 123 pole locations passing through Phu Giao, Bau Bang, and Dau Tieng districts. These are localities being oriented towards industrial development, so the above project is very important in providing energy to meet the production needs of enterprises in the future.
