Ms. T.T at Golden Tower Building, Ho Chi Minh City proposed that the Ministry of Construction guide how to understand the regulations in Section 2.5.5.5.2 QCVN 06:2022/BXD on Fire Safety for houses and works, as follows:
Section 2.5.5.5.2 of QCVN 06:2022/BXD stipulates: Production rooms and warehouses, including laboratories and workshops with an area of over 50m2, food preparation rooms with cooking equipment with a capacity of over 10kW in houses in groups F1, F2, F3 and F4, are classified as group F5.
Accordingly, Ms. T suggested clarifying the above regulation "capacity over 10kW" is the capacity of each individual cooking device or is the total capacity of all cooking devices in the kitchen area that the company plans to install?".
Regarding this content, the Ministry of Construction has the following opinion:
Section 2.5.5.2 of QCVN 06:2022/BXD, supplemented and amended in Amendment 1: 2023 of QCVN 06:2022/BXD on fire safety for houses and works, stipulates: "P Production rooms and warehouses, including laboratories and workshops with an area of over 50m2, food preparation rooms with cooking equipment with a capacity of over 10kW in houses in groups F1, F2, F3 and F4, are classified as F5".
Accordingly, the capacity of 10kW is the total capacity of cooking equipment in the food preparation room.
