After arranging administrative units, Ca Mau province has 1,381 houses and land facilities that are working headquarters and non-business establishments, including 583 facilities of Bac Lieu province (old) and 798 facilities of Ca Mau province (old).
According to the arrangement plan approved by competent authorities, 1,072 facilities continue to be arranged for agencies, units, and localities to use; the remaining 309 facilities are surplus assets, accounting for about 22.4%.
To handle this asset, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan on arranging and handling surplus public assets such as houses and land; and at the same time decided to transfer the facilities to agencies, units, and localities for management and exploitation. In which, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center is assigned to manage and exploit 90 facilities; People's Committees of communes and wards receive 219 facilities, including 72 facilities for management and exploitation and 147 facilities for management and use combined with functional conversion.
According to Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, the arrangement and rearrangement of headquarters basically meets the operating requirements of agencies and units after arrangement. However, the progress of handling and exploiting surplus assets is still slow, especially the putting of assets into use. Some agencies, units, and localities have not been decisive in organizing implementation, reducing the efficiency of exploiting public assets.

To date, the province has completed the arrangement, transfer or conversion of functions to put into use 71/309 surplus houses and land facilities. Of which, 13 facilities are arranged for the education sector, 7 facilities serve health, 1 facility serves community sports; the remaining facilities are used as working headquarters, cultural hamlet and cultural village headquarters and community service works.
Currently, the whole province still has 238 redundant houses and land facilities that need to be further processed according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee and the plan approved by competent authorities.
