Urban and transportation projects create motivation for Gia Lai's development

Gia Lai - Businesses propose to implement infrastructure, urban, and service projects for socio-economic development.

On March 28, at the Gia Lai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference, the Provincial People's Committee awarded a memorandum of understanding to the Duc Long Gia Lai Group consortium to study, survey, and seek investment opportunities for a number of important projects with registered capital of about 15,000 billion VND.

According to Mr. Bui Phap - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Duc Long Gia Lai Joint Stock Company, for many years the company has had experience in investing in BOT and BT projects, renewable energy projects (hydropower, wind power...), hotel and resort projects...

After the merger, some public land and housing assets in western Gia Lai are surplus. To avoid loss and waste, the enterprise proposed that the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee allow research, survey, and investment project development, thereby contributing to creating a new face for Pleiku mountain town.

Specifically, Duc Long Gia Lai Group proposes to invest in the inter-agency area, Sports Center (Pleiku ward, area of 20,800 m2) into a commercial, service, hotel, event, entertainment area, with a total expected investment capital of about 1,200 billion VND in the period 2026–2030.

For the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee guesthouse (old), which has been abandoned for many years, causing the project to degrade and be damaged, the enterprise proposed to invest 600 billion VND to build shophouses and commercial services.

For the land area on Dang Tran Con and Ly Nam De streets (Hoi Phu ward area, land managed by enterprises, area 37,000 m2), Duc Long Gia Lai proposes to build a townhouse, green park and entertainment area, with a total estimated capital of 500 billion VND.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has signed a memorandum of understanding with business representatives, including it in the list of investment calls. In which, it emphasizes the importance of creating a new face for urban residential areas, serving business, and sustainable economic development according to legal regulations.

At the investment promotion conference, Duc Long Gia Lai was also assigned to research and survey the construction of the Pleiku - Le Thanh expressway (Le Thanh international border gate, bordering Cambodia), contributing to effectively connecting the Central Highlands region with the international border gate.

The project will have a total estimated investment of 12,500 billion VND in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), continuing with the Pleiku - Quy Nhon expressway.

Speaking to direct at the Investment Promotion Conference, Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc - Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the province will continue to accelerate key infrastructure projects: expressways and connecting road systems, upgrade international airports, plan and develop industrial zones - clusters, logistics, deep-water ports...

The province is also determined to attract selective investment; support and create the best conditions for real investors, doing real things for common development; prioritize high-tech projects, high added value, environmentally friendly, using land and energy economically; encourage regional linkages, "enterprise - cooperative - farmer - bank - science" linkages to form sustainable value chains.
