The Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee has just signed a decision on issuing a list of projects inviting investment in Can Tho City until 2030 (phase 2). This phase, Can Tho City has 05 investment-inviting projects.
In the field of industrial park infrastructure, there is an investment project to build and operate technical infrastructure of My Thanh Industrial Park (Vinh Hai commune, Can Tho city) with an area of about 217 hectares.
In the economic field, there is the Hau Giang Digital Technology Zone Construction Project (located at 198, 19/8 street, Vi Tan ward, Can Tho city) with an area of about 28.3ha.
The above project aims to invite secondary investors in the area, forming an innovative and digital startup ecosystem of the Mekong Delta region, which is a place to concentrate technology businesses, research centers, institutes - schools, technology incubators; promote technology transfer, develop technology-independent products and domestic production.
In the urban - housing sector, there are 02 projects. The first is the new urban area and resettlement project of Song Hau Industrial Park - phase 2, Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province (now Phu Huu commune, Can Tho city) with an area of about 175ha.
The project aims to invest in building housing areas and a system of service works and public utilities to meet the needs for housing, living, social security and improve the quality of life for workers working in Song Hau 2 Industrial Park and surrounding industrial parks. Thereby, contributing to the implementation of the plan for developing worker housing according to the plan, ensuring conditions to attract and stabilize human resources to serve the industrial development of the locality.
The second is the New Urban Area I Project, Ward III (now Vi Thanh Ward, Can Tho City) with an area of about 44.89 ha. Can Tho's goal is to build a modern, synchronous residential, commercial, and educational area in terms of infrastructure and social infrastructure.
Finally, in the tourism sector, there is the Ho Sen tourist area project (old Ward VII, now in Vi Thanh ward, Can Tho city) with an area of about 15 hectares. The goal is to build an eco-tourism area in a modern direction, including a tourism - service area, a cultural and sports area, and wildlife.
Can Tho City People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with departments, agencies, branches, ward and commune People's Committees and relevant units to continue reviewing, updating, and proposing to issue a list of projects inviting investment in the next phases, ensuring compliance with regulations and development orientations of Can Tho City.
