In March 2026, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee signed a decision for Cam Ranh Riviera Resort Joint Stock Company to extend the land use progress for the Riviera Residences & Resort project in Cam Lam commune.
According to the decision, the land area with extended land use progress is 99,225.7m2.
This land has been granted a Certificate of land use rights, ownership of houses and other assets attached to land since 2016 by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (now the Department of Agriculture and Environment).
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that previously Cam Ranh Riviera Resort Joint Stock Company was 24 months behind the land use progress recorded in the investment project, violating Clause 8, Article 81 of the 2024 Land Law.
With the extension, businesses must additionally pay the State the amount corresponding to the land rent for the extended period.
At the same time, the investor must focus resources, accelerate construction progress, complete items and put the project into operation according to regulations.
In case the extension period expires but the enterprise still has not put the land into use, the State will recover the land without compensation for land, assets attached to the land as well as remaining investment costs on the land.
According to information introduced on real estate forums, the Riviera Residences & Resort project is expected to build a 25-story hotel building, with a scale of about 559 rooms and many amenities such as a restaurant, health care treatment area, entertainment room and reception hall.
The project is introduced and is expected to be implemented from the beginning of 2025. When completed, Riviera Residences & Resort will increase the total accommodation scale of the Riviera resort in this area to about 800 rooms.
