We have made many requests during meetings with voters, but up to now, it has not been implemented."
Meanwhile, at Hoa Cuong market (Hai Chau district, Da Nang city), the infrastructure has begun to deteriorate, making it difficult to meet the requirements of commercial civilization. Around 5am or 5pm, the roads around Hoa Cuong wholesale market such as Le No and Le Thanh Nghi are often congested due to trucks parked in the wrong places. Some vendors even display their goods right on the road, causing traffic disorder.
Therefore, in 2023, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang District (Da Nang City) approved the adjustment of the detailed planning at a scale of 1:500 for the Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market Project with an area of 30.92 hectares, the project location is in Hoa Phuoc Commune (Hoa Vang District). Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market is planned to replace Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market - the distribution hub of agricultural products for Da Nang City, the gathering center, transit point, and distribution of agricultural products for neighboring localities in the Central - Central Highlands region, the transit place, balancing goods from the North and the South.
In November 2023, the People's Council of Da Nang City also issued a Resolution approving the adjustment of the investment policy, assigning the Da Nang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board as the project investor.
According to the Resolution of the People's Council of Da Nang City, the project of technical infrastructure, site clearance, support and resettlement of Hoa Phuoc wholesale market, the total investment of the project was adjusted from more than 214 billion VND, increased to more than 272 billion VND.
According to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, in October, the People's Committee of Da Nang City approved the feasibility study report, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of Da Nang submitted a request for additional capital to implement compensation and site clearance payments in November and December and in the first quarter of 2025. In November 2024, the procedures for submitting, appraising and approving the contractor selection plan will be carried out.
In December 2024, the Management Board of the Danang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project will organize the selection of a design and estimate consultant (in the form of domestic open bidding). From January to March 2025, the investor will prepare design and estimate documents, submit for approval of design documents after basic design, and organize the selection of construction contractors (in the form of bidding). The construction package is expected to be implemented in April 2025, with the construction period being 8 months from the commencement date.
