The 36-story apartment building's fence continues to crack and break in height
On May 26, records at PVC-IC Diamond apartment building (also known as Lapen Center apartment building, Tam Thang ward, Ho Chi Minh City) continued to show new cracks and breaks on the 16th floor, along the vertical direction of the surrounding wall, posing a risk of the wall falling out.
This apartment building has a scale of 36 floors, including 34 above-ground floors and 2 basements. The new crack and break occurred in the perimeter wall of apartment 16.17 (16th floor), located right at the corner of the intersection of 30/4 and Nguyen Trung Truc streets. Discovering the dangerous situation, people reported to the apartment building management board to grasp the situation and find a solution.
Mr. D. D. K (resident of apartment 16.17) said that he does not know exactly when the crack broke, because it is located outside the apartment and cannot be accessed. After discovering it, Mr. K quickly reported to the Management Board, requesting quick resolution because he was afraid of causing danger if it fell.

After receiving the information, the Management Board of Lapen Center apartment building sent a team to swing ropes outside the building to check and record the crack situation. On that basis, report to the local authorities to grasp and direct the settlement. At the same time, implement some temporary measures to ensure safety around the apartment building.
Nearly 1 year without treating the old cracks, now new cracks continue to break.
Previously, in July 2025, the 16th floor area of this apartment building experienced many cracks in the surrounding walls of the 16th floor apartments. The area with the greatest impact at apartment 16.08 even had the surrounding wall fall out. But because it was fenced off before, it did not cause danger to people around the area.
However, nearly 1 year has passed, the location of peeling old perimeter walls has not been resolved, and many locations with the phenomenon of peeling new perimeter walls continue to appear. Besides, not only for the outer perimeter walls, but also the walls inside the apartment building, where they are not exposed to rain and wind, also experience peeling.

Many residents in this apartment building area said that the crack in the old fence wall has not been completely resolved, causing many residents to be worried. Now, the continuous appearance of new fence wall cracks in the apartment building continues to increase concerns about the risk of unsafety.
At the same time, many people also doubt the construction quality of the fence of this apartment building, because the situation of many peeling walls around shows that the quality is much worse than those apartment buildings put into operation at the same time or before.
