According to Lao Dong's records on June 15, the 9-story hotel on the front of Ly Thai To street (Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi) has been demolished and handed over to the square - park project in the East of Hoan Kiem Lake.
Previously, the entire project was surrounded by two layers of tarpaulin extending from the roof to the foot of the project.
Some excavators were brought to the rooftop to dismantle items, using the top-down method.

Currently, some other works within the project are being urgently dismantled to serve construction work.
To date, the entire area of the Hoan Kiem Lake East square - park project with a total area of about 2.14ha has been fenced with corrugated iron. Inside, a large volume of construction waste is waiting to be transported elsewhere.

The Hoan Kiem Lake East square - park project is implemented in two phases. In which, phase 1 focuses on building the surface part of the square and park; phase 2 will invest in a three-story basement system, connected to station C9 of metro line No. 2.

The landscape will be organized continuously, uniformly, prioritizing pedestrians and connecting with important spatial axes such as: Dinh Tien Hoang street, Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc square, Ba Kieu temple area and Hoan Kiem Lake relic complex.
Open spaces continue to be maintained to organize cultural activities, festivals, and community activities, contributing to consolidating the cultural identity of the historical center area.
