On January 10, a working group from the Department of Construction of Ben Tre province inspected the infrastructure investment project to call for investment in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province (phase 2). The results showed that the construction items in this project met the requirements of quality, technique and aesthetics.
Mr. Bui Van Hiep - Director of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works in Ben Tre Province - said that by the end of 2024, the contractor had completed the construction of the infrastructure investment project to serve the investment call for Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province (phase 2) with an area of over 41 hectares. On the morning of January 10, a working group of the Department of Construction of Ben Tre province inspected and accepted the above project.
Mr. Hiep added that previously, the infrastructure investment project to serve the calling for investment in industrial clusters in Chau Thanh district was completed and put into use in 2021. Currently, Saigon - Ben Tre Beer Factory has started operating at this project, thereby contributing to the local budget revenue.
With the completion and acceptance of the infrastructure investment project to call for investment in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province (phase 2), in the coming time, the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Civil and Industrial Works of Ben Tre province will carry out procedures and documents to hand over the area of this project to the competent authority for management and put into operation.
Mr. Hiep also shared that the completion and operation of the Long Phuoc Industrial Cluster project is a strategic step to attract investment enterprises. With synchronous infrastructure, attractive incentive policies and sustainable development potential, this industrial cluster promises to become an ideal destination for domestic and foreign investors.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the Long Phuoc Industrial Cluster project is invested and divided into 2 component projects, including: Infrastructure investment project to serve calling for investment in industrial clusters in Chau Thanh district and Infrastructure investment project to serve calling for investment in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province (phase 2).
Previously, on October 3, 2024, at the Ben Tre Investment Promotion Conference 2024, the Provincial People's Committee granted investment policy decisions to enterprises investing in the area. At Long Phuoc Industrial Cluster, Giao Long Paper Joint Stock Company invested in a paper mill project with a design capacity of 1,000 tons/day, with a total investment of VND 1,800 billion. Asia Coconut Processing Joint Stock Company invested in the Asia Coconut Processing Factory 2 project with a total investment of VND 450 billion. N.I.D Production and Trading Joint Stock Company invested in a wastewater treatment plant project with a total investment of VND 145.33 billion.
In October 2019, the People's Committee of Ben Tre province issued a Decision approving the infrastructure investment project to call for investment in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province (phase 2). This project has a total investment of more than 666 billion VND, the investment and construction goal is to provide clean land to focus on developing industries with strengths and competitive advantages. In particular, focusing on investing in coconut processing industry and seafood processing, which are two key industries that influence the industrial development of Ben Tre province.
