Enforcement and recovery of more than 1,500m2 of land serving the National Highway 6 project

KHÁNH AN |

Hanoi - Chuong My Ward has organized forced recovery of more than 1,500m2 of land to implement the project to build a resettlement area in Dong Giai area.

On December 29th, Chuong My Ward People's Committee organized the enforcement of land recovery to implement the Investment Project to build a resettlement area in Dong Giai area, Son Dong residential group to serve site clearance for National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section.

According to the report, the scope of site clearance of the project has 161 related households and individuals, with a total recovered area of 54,576.74m2. In the process of implementation, most households have agreed to receive compensation, support and hand over land, contributing to accelerating the project progress.

However, to date, there are still 1,575.4m2 of land of 3 households and individuals, although compensation and support plans have been approved and land recovery decisions have been issued, but the receipt of money and handover of land have not been complied with.

Faced with that situation, Chuong My Ward People's Committee has coordinated with specialized agencies, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of Son Dong village to repeatedly propagate, mobilize, and persuade households to comply with regulations.

Because households still do not agree to comply, on December 18, 2025, the Chairman of Chuong My Ward People's Committee issued Decisions No. 1310, 1311, 1312, 1313/QD-UBND on coercive land recovery to ensure project implementation progress.

Mr. Luu Manh Quang - Director of the Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board of Chuong My ward said that the organization of land recovery coercion is not intended to put pressure or disrupt people's lives, but is an administrative measure necessary to ensure the strictness of the law, protect the common interests of the State and the community; and at the same time ensure the legitimate rights and interests of people whose land is recovered in accordance with compensation, support, and resettlement policies approved by competent authorities.

Through the organization of coercion, the locality strives to complete site clearance on schedule, create a clean land fund to implement the resettlement area project and the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 6, contributing to traffic infrastructure development, stabilizing people's lives and promoting socio-economic development in Chuong My ward.
