At the 21st session of the People's Council (PC), term X, term 2021 - 2026 on the morning of December 12, Mr. Vo Cong Chanh, a delegate of the People's Council of Da Nang City, said: "The city needs to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the inspection, examination and judgment conclusions that have been approved by the Politburo in Conclusion 77 of the Politburo. Of which, there are 1,313 projects that the City People's Committee self-inspected and reviewed according to the recommendations of the Government Inspectorate, contributing to unlocking resources and developing the city's socio-economy."
Mr. Chanh also recommended that the City People's Committee direct relevant units, departments and branches to coordinate to remove obstacles and urge the progress of investment implementation, put land into use to avoid wasting land resources, especially slow-to-implement projects in the city.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Phung Phu Phong - Director of the Department of Construction of Da Nang City - informed that, regarding the city's supervision of reviewing slow-to-implement planning projects, in recent years, Da Nang City has reviewed many times. Of which, there were 2 major reviews and in Notice 18 dated July 31, 2024 of the City People's Council, the shortcomings and difficulties were also clearly stated.
"For slow-moving planning projects, the criteria have now been clearly defined. Currently, 25 projects have been canceled, 37 projects need to be adjusted, and 172 projects continue to be implemented. This is one of the contents that the City People's Committee has directed to implement, and the People's Committees of districts are also focusing on handling this issue. Currently, the Department of Construction is also advising the People's Committee on the procedures to cancel these detailed projects, and districts are also implementing based on this procedure," said Mr. Phung Phu Phong.
According to Mr. Phong, for projects that are reviewed to ensure compliance with planning levels, ensure economic and social development orientation, and are feasible, the City People's Committee has also assigned management boards, districts to coordinate with departments and branches to propose investment policies for these projects. These slow-moving projects will be transferred to implementation projects to have a basis for monitoring progress and reviewing capital sources to effectively implement these projects.
