At the 21st session of the People's Council (PC), term X, term 2021 - 2026 on the morning of December 11, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee affirmed that in 2024, the Central Government issued many specific mechanisms and policies for Da Nang. In particular, Resolution No. 136 of 2024 of the National Assembly on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city has opened up many new opportunities for the city to make breakthroughs in the coming time.
These mechanisms and policies demonstrate the special attention of the Central Government to the Party Committee, government and people of the city, along with many expectations for the city's development in the coming time to contribute to the overall development of the country. In 2025, the Da Nang City Party Committee has resolved that the city's growth rate will reach over 10%, and the budget revenue will exceed 10% compared to the Central Government's estimate. The theme for 2025 has just been determined by the City Party Committee as: "The year of focusing on streamlining the apparatus associated with cutting administrative procedures, effectively implementing the organization of urban government and specific mechanisms and policies, strongly promoting economic growth".
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, in reality, many Resolutions of the People's Council have been issued but implementation has encountered many difficulties due to problems with procedures, and the implementation of the Resolution has not achieved the desired results. Mr. Nguyen Van Quang suggested that the delegates of the City People's Council need to focus on research, careful consideration, frank and democratic discussion to have strong decisions that are suitable for reality, especially simplifying procedures, shortening time and creating favorable conditions for investors to access policies. Mechanisms and policies must be truly breakthrough, outstanding and highly attractive.
"The year 2025 is of special importance, being the first year of implementing the National Assembly's special mechanisms and policies. Therefore, the City People's Council and all levels and sectors need to be more determined and proactive in overcoming difficulties and challenges to successfully implement the goals and tasks set for 2025 and the entire 2020-2025 term," said Mr. Nguyen Van Quang.
