On the morning of August 28, Da Nang City People's Committee coordinated with Chu Lai Float Glass Joint Stock Company - CFG to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the project to invest in construction and business of infrastructure of Tam Anh 1 Industrial Park, in Tam Anh commune.
The project has a scale of more than 167ha, total investment capital of more than 1,518 billion VND, implementation time from the third quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2028. The operating term of the project is 70 years from the date of being granted the first investment registration certificate in June 2015.
Tam Anh 1 Industrial Park is located in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone area - which is identified as an important growth pole in the South of Da Nang after the city's development space is expanded.
According to Da Nang City People's Committee, this industrial park has the advantage of connecting with seaports, airports, expressways and important traffic routes. In the future, the area will also be planned for the cargo terminal of the North-South high-speed railway line, thereby creating conditions to reduce logistics costs and improve competitiveness for businesses.
When completed, the project will supplement industrial land fund with synchronous infrastructure, opening up more space to attract production, processing, manufacturing, supporting industries and high value-added sectors.
Notably, Da Nang City leaders requested the investor not to develop Tam Anh 1 Industrial Park in a purely "land for rent" direction, but to build an industrial park with quality, competitiveness and the ability to participate in domestic and global value chains.
The city requires prioritizing attracting high-tech projects, clean technology, and efficient use of resources; and at the same time investing in synchronous wastewater treatment systems, fire prevention and fighting, green trees and essential infrastructure.
Absolutely do not trade the environment for economic growth" is a requirement emphasized by city leaders at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Da Nang also requests the investor to closely coordinate with the locality in site clearance for the remaining area, ensuring the rights of the people, and prioritizing job creation, vocational training and improving income for local workers.
With the goal of double-digit economic growth, the city expects Tam Anh 1 Industrial Park to become one of the new driving forces to promote industry, attract investment and develop the Southern Da Nang area.
