On September 10, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Quang Nam signed Decision No. 29/2025/QD-UBND detailing the case of people with houses under their ownership but far from their workplace who are entitled to social housing support policies in the city.
Accordingly, in cases where a person entitled to social housing support policies according to the provisions of the law on housing already has a house of his/her own but is far from the workplace, he/she is allowed to buy or rent-purchase social housing when ensuring the following conditions:
Having a house of one's own but 30 km or more from the working location and 15 km or more from the social housing project registered for purchase or lease-purchase.
The distance from the social housing project registered for purchase or leased to the workplace must be shorter than the distance from the house owned by the owner to the construction site.
For mountainous areas, remote areas, remote areas and islands of Da Nang City, the competent State agency has determined:
Having a house of one's own but 20 km or more from the working location and 10 km or more from the social housing project registered for purchase or lease-purchase.
The distance from the social housing project registered for purchase or leased to the workplace must be shorter than the distance from the house owned by the employee to the workplace.
According to Decision No. 29/2025/QD-UBND, the distance is determined by the length of the shortest road route between the two points.
