On September 10, the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) worked in Thai Nguyen.
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Vu Duy Hoang - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and representatives of a number of related departments, branches and units.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized the survey program to assess the current situation, difficulties and challenges of the trade union organization, and propose innovative solutions.
In addition, it is necessary to improve care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights of workers and meet urgent requirements in the context of international integration and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.
Thai Nguyen currently has over 198,000 workers, of which the Provincial Federation of Labor manages more than 140,000 union members with 487 grassroots unions in the whole area.
In recent years, the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities has achieved many results: nearly 1,000 dialogues, 89.5% of enterprises have signed collective labor agreements.
Inspection and supervision work has been strengthened with 18 visits since 2023, recording more than 100 recommendations related to labor regimes, policies and laws.
Along with that, many activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers and laborers have been implemented in a rich and diverse manner, bringing practical results.

The activities of the provincial trade union are facing challenges when the labor structure changes rapidly, informal and migratory labor, in small enterprises and the FDI sector increases, and resources are limited.
The impact of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution requires trade unions to innovate approaches, improve operational efficiency, and meet new needs of workers in enterprises.
Previously, the working group conducted a field survey at a number of enterprises in the area, learning about the lives and jobs of workers and grassroots trade union activities.
