According to the Da Nang City Department of Construction, in 2025, Da Nang city completed 5 projects with 2,907 apartments, reaching a rate of 108% compared to the target assigned by the Government. This locality is also implementing procedures for a total of 38 projects with a scale of more than 34,400 apartments, exceeding the target of the Project to invest in building at least 1 million social housing apartments in the period 2025-2030 assigned by the Prime Minister to the locality.
However, in reality, the Southern region (belonging to the former Quang Nam province) has abundant land funds but investment attraction is still limited due to low land prices, while the Northern region (belonging to the former Da Nang) is facing a situation where the demand for buying houses is increasing but the clean land fund is no longer much and there are problems with population size targets.
The City People's Committee has directed the Department of Construction to review 46 feasible land areas with an area of 134 hectares, and at the same time adjust the zoning plan and supplement technical infrastructure to ensure synchronous connectivity.
In 2026, Da Nang set a target to complete 4,979 apartments with the commitment to put social housing projects into the priority "green channel" group. Accordingly, investment, land, planning and construction procedures will be implemented in parallel, minimizing the time for appraisal and construction permit issuance. The city also plans to start construction of 6 to 8 new projects next year to create abundant supply for the market.
The Department of Construction also affirmed that it will continue to urge and remove difficulties for each specific project, especially to support investors to accelerate construction progress from 12 to 24 months depending on the scale.
